Current volunteer opportunities will be advertised here and shared on our social media channels.
Documenting Northern Lincolnshire’s History
North Lincolnshire Museums are recruiting a team of volunteers to assist with their new Dynamic Collections project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The deadline for volunteer applications has now passed. However, we are planning new opportunities for young people and remote volunteers to get involved.
You can email your expression of interest to our Dynamic Collections project officer at jenny.kirton@northlincs.gov.uk to receive updates.
The volunteer team will research and digitise stories of North Lincolnshire’s fascinating past.
This project aims to bring these stories closer to the communities they represent.
Project volunteers will gain experience in collections care, to unearth stories of local significance, and to help shape the way these stories are shared.

This project was made possible by funding awarded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of their Dynamic Collections scheme [link https://www.heritagefund.org.uk/our-work/dynamic-collections]. The National Lottery Heritage Fund defines a dynamic collection as one that:
1)is used by, and meaningful to, a wider range of people.
2) enables different perspectives to be heard and a variety of stories to be told
3) is actively managed and reviewed
Our ‘Documenting Northern Lincolnshire’s History’ project is motivated by these principles.
