Documenting Northern Lincolnshire’s History Project

In May 2025, North Lincolnshire Museum will host an exhibition showcasing some of the stories being explored by our ‘Documenting Northern Lincolnshire’s History’ project volunteers. ‘Documenting Northern Lincolnshire’s History’ is a National Lottery Heritage Fund project, undertaken in partnership with North East Lincolnshire Museums.

At North Lincolnshire Museum, volunteers have been documenting, digitising, and researching objects from our local history collections.

Some members of the volunteer team have been exploring materials relating to ‘Cycle Song’, a community opera commissioned by imove arts and performed at Brumby Hall grounds, Scunthorpe in July 2012. We are asking for people to share their personal memories and photographs relating to ‘Cycle Song’ with us. These could be from participants directly involved in the production, or even audience members.
