Viking Lincolnshire

The talk will cover the written sources and artefacts from Viking Lincolnshire. It will look at what we know and what we do not know. Some myths about the Vikings will be challenged. Hopefully attendees will come away not thinking Vikings are just bloodthirsty monsters and will have some idea of the contribution they made to the county of Lincolnshire.

Dr Erik Grigg is a lecturer in History at Bishop Grosseteste University who specialises in early medieval history. He has recently completed leading a research project on Viking Grimsby.
