
Trees to Towns workshop for KS3 + aged learners (Home Education)
Children will learn map reading skills to use in an exploration of historical and modern maps to consider the urbanisation of the area, and why this occurred.
They will be encouraged to consider the topography of the area and transport routes over time.
They will look at evidence of changes and will be encouraged to consider the impact of an industrial age on the area, and wider world.
Children will explore census documents and consider the changing roles and trades of the communities of the area and compare them to their modern-day family roles.
This workshop lasts approximately 1h 45 minutes hours and is aimed at KS3+ children.
To accommodate as many children as possible, we prefer not to exceed a ratio of one adult for each family group.
The price of £6.30 per child plus one accompanying adult. Each child taking part will need a ticket.
If you are booking for a group, we require at least one adult for every six children.
