During this fast-paced workshop children will develop their understanding of everyday life in Roman Britain. They will make comparisons between life in the Celtic and Roman periods and enhance their investigative skills through archaeological sorting and examining evidence from Winterton Villa. A visit to a Roman market stall will develop an enthusiasm for weird and wonderful Roman foods, including dormice! The workshop includes a visit to our Roman Gallery where children will be able to investigate local finds and build up a picture of the life and times of Romans in the local area. The children will all make a herb bag to take home.
Suitable for children working at KS2 level.
Each child taking part will need a ticket.
If you are booking for a group, we require at least one adult for every six children.
Babies under 2 years of age are free, but please do let the team know in advance if you are bringing additional children.
