An exhibition to mark 30 years since the abolition of Humberside County Council.
Explore the history of Humberside County, formed in 1974 and abolished in 1996, in this touring display.
30 years since its abolition, what did Humberside mean to you? How did the people who lived here feel about ‘Humberside’?
At North Lincolnshire Museum, Remembering Humberside is accompanied by objects from the Museum’s collections that capture our local chapter in this story.
Remembering Humberside is curated by Becca Drake, Jo Esra, Matt Houlbrook, Claire Langhamer, Emily Robinson, and Sam Stones. The exhibition was designed and produced by Ian Goodison.
This touring exhibition will also be on display at Scunthorpe Central library 5 – 28 June 2026.
