This pop up exhibition, Ravenser Odd: The Sunken Island of the Humber, delves into the history and folklore of the short-lived medieval town, which rose to wealth before being accused of piracy and stealing trade from its neighbours along the Humber.
The tour kicked off in September 2024 at Spurn Discovery Centre, it since travelled to many locations north and south of the Humber. The response from the public has been overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors calling the exhibition “fascinating and informative.”
The exhibition is a collaboration between Hull Maritime Museum, The National Archives and the University of Sussex.
