Living History Day 2025 Come along for a day of fun and learning. There will be lots of activities including: James from Ancient Crafts in his Bronze Age camp as he demonstrates the art of crafting tools. Dr James Dilley Bronze axe casting demonstrations will take place: 11:30am – 12:30pm 13:30 – 14:30pm Come face to face with the Sudjorvik Vikings, watch fearsome warrior and combat displays, take part in drills and listen to incredible Norse myths. Try your hand at some Victorian housework, take turns using our dolly tub and other Victorian laundry equipment. Join our Collections team for an opportunity to learn about and handle real life archaeological items on the pop-up table. Solve a crime with Sherlock Bones, the Museum’s resident detective. Help explore the crime scene and pick up clues around the Museum. Get creative with themed crafts inspired by our collection.
