Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery exhibition
The Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery are bringing selected extraordinary artefacts to exhibit at North Lincolnshire Museum from Tuesday 2 December to Saturday 6 December. Visitors will have the opportunity to get personally acquainted with the artefacts and representatives from Kiswa Arts and Culture gallery will be on hand to guide visitors through each of the pieces.
On display will be rare and sacred artefacts from the Holy Kaaba in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque ﷺ in Madinah.


The exhibition will be open to the public on:
Tuesday 2 December: 11:00- 16:00
Wednesday 3 December: 12:00 – 16:00
Thursday 4 December: 10:00 – 16:00
Friday 5 December: 10:00 – 16:00
Saturday 6 December: 10:00 – 16:00
Booking is not required, though in times of high demand visitors may need to wait a short while before accessing the exhibition.
The event is being organised in partnership by North Lincolnshire Museum and Sheikh Ilyas, (Kiswa Arts and Culture Gallery) and Abid Khan (Multifaith Partnership North Lincolnshire). This project has been made possible with the support of North Lincolnshire Council and The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of Cultural Futures, a multi-year project to increase arts, heritage and cultural opportunities for North Lincolnshire.
Artefacts on display are often only possible to be viewed by making the journey to Mecca and will have a profound effect on the viewer. The exhibition will be of interest to people of all faiths and none, including those who have an appreciation of textile and calligraphic arts.
