Home Educator’s Session
North Lincolnshire Museum looks after a collection of over 300,000 objects and archive material. The Museum’s exhibitions tell the story of North Lincolnshire and its people. The collection reflects the geology, natural history, archaeology, and local history of the region.
The session will welcome family groups to the Museum offering engaging displays and activities. The session will include the Vikings, Romas, Victorians and the opportunity to self-guide around the Museum with resources. Children can meet characters from history such as Helga the Viking and Julia the Roman!
The team will be on hand to support with refreshments included.
Between 11.30-12.30 there will be a socialising session held in the community gallery. We hope you will join us to meet the team and other home educators.
Please do get in touch with the team to discuss any additional needs that may support your child’s learning and enjoyment.
Things You Need to Know Before Booking
· Cost per child place is £3.50.

· The sessions are intended for KS1 and KS2 learners.
· If you are intending to book older or younger children into the sessions, please bear in mind that the content may not be as engaging for them. The team would be happy to recommend alternative things to do that might be more relevant.
· Dudley’s Den, which is a space for the under 5’s will be open to the public during the session.
· Babies under 2 years of age are free, but please do let the team know in advance if you are bringing additional children.
