Curators Choice – Victorian Laundry
Arts and Heritage Learning offer a range of inspiring workshops for schools at North Lincolnshire Museum and Normanby Hall Country Park. The Victorian Laundry at Normanby Hall Country Park is where the estate’s clothing and linens were laundered between the 1890s and the outbreak of the First World War. The Wash Day Blues schools workshop takes place in the Victorian Laundry. The Laundry is also opened to visitors during the year on select days.
In this video, Learning and Development Assistant Elizabeth Hill, gets into character as a servant in the Laundry at Normanby Hall, to take a closer look at the work of the laundry.
